Volksmarch Walks

Volksmarch Walks – Join the international club in two Santa Rosa County walks during the Beaches to Woodlands Tour.

The  Oct. 1 walk will take the group through the historic milltown of Bagdad. Walkers will meet at 8 a.m. at the corner of Ella Street and Water Street.

The event is free but there is a small fee for those wanting to stamp their volksmarch/walking books. Volkssporting is a fast-growing fun and fitness hobby in the United States with active clubs in all 50 states. Volkssporting events are non-competitive and free to the public. They include walking, cross-country skiing, bicycling and swimming. These Volkssporting events are coordinated by the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) and the American Volkssport Association (AVA).
