Homemade, traditional German food, a biergarten and live music make the Good Shepherd Oktoberfest an annual favorite on the Gulf Coast. For 22 years, every bite of food – from the sauerkraut to the baked goods – has been handmade by the congregation.
The two-day event also includes live music and entertainment, a biergarten and a giant arts and crafts sale, drawing about 2,500 visitors to the church grounds. The event is Oct. 7 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 4257 Gulf Breeze Pkwy., Gulf Breeze, Fla. For more information email gslcgb@bellsouth.net.
